Fans Troll Drake by Flocking to GoFundMe Amid Kendrick Lamar Beef
The ongoing beef between Drake and Kendrick Lamar took an interesting turn as fans, or rather trolls, decided to mock Drake by creating fake GoFundMe campaigns to potentially profit off his rap downfall. However, GoFundMe swiftly shut down these campaigns before any money could be raised.
The fake campaigns aimed to celebrate Drake's metaphorical burial, with titles such as "Support Kendrick Lamar's Studio Time for the Ultimate Diss T," "Join the Love Fund for Drake's Send-Off," and "RIP Drake (champagnepapi): Fans Unite in Grief.
" Despite fundraising goals ranging from $10,000 to $616,000, nothing was raised before GoFundMe intervened.Drake recently took a swing at Lamar with his song "The Heart Part 6," while Lamar accused Drake of grooming underage girls. Although Lamar hasn't responded yet, fans are reminded to be cautious and not fall for fake fundraising schemes targeting their favorite artists.
